<Nourishing the Lungs and Replenishing Qi> Hairy Fig Soup
Effects: Nourishes the lungs and replenishes Qi, strengthens the spleen and stomach, soothes the mind and calms the nerves
Ingredients: Hairy Fig root, poria, coconut flakes, Chinese yam, candied dates, tangerine peel
Suggested pairing: Can be served with meat / No meat required
Cooking method:
Soak the dry ingredients in clean water for 15 minutes , then remove from water and drain. Blanch the meat (if any) and set aside.
Open flame cooking method:
Add water to the soup pot (2L of water if you have meat, 1.5L of water if you don't have meat). After the water boils, add the ingredients and boil over high heat. Then turn to medium-low heat (cook for 2 hours if you have meat, 1.5 hours if you don't have meat) and then turn to medium-high heat and boil for 10-15 minutes.
Pressure Cooker Method:
Add 2L of water to the soup pot, add the ingredients and press the soup mode. If you use a pressure cooker, release the pressure and then press the stir-fry mode for 15 minutes before drinking to make the soup more flavorful. Or you can cook according to your personal habits and preferences.
Finally, add appropriate amount of salt for seasoning according to personal preference (not necessary if there is no meat).
Serves 4-5 people.
