Dried Wax Gourd Soup

Ingredients: Dried winter melon, Adenophora sibiricum, Polygonatum odoratum, Lily bulb, Coix seed
Ingredients: Dried Wax Gourd, Adenophora, Polygonatum Odoratum, Dried Lilia Bulbus, Semen Coicis
Suggested pairing: lean meat, figs or candied dates
Cooking method:
Soak the dry ingredients in clean water for 5-10 minutes, remove from water and set aside.
Open flame cooking method:
Pour 2.5L of water into the soup pot. When the water boils, add the ingredients and bring to a boil over high heat. Then turn to medium-low heat and simmer for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Then turn to medium-high heat and boil for 10-15 minutes.
Pressure Cooker Method:
Add 1.5L of water to the soup pot, add the ingredients and press the soup mode. If you use a pressure cooker, you can boil it for 15 minutes in the stir-fry mode before drinking after releasing the pressure, which can make the soup more flavorful and taste like a traditional soup. You can also cook it according to your personal habits and preferences.
Finally, add appropriate amount of salt for seasoning according to personal preference (not necessary if there is no meat).
